To teach young anglers the basics of fishing so they become self-sufficient at the sport, educate on the preservation and respect of our natural resources while inspiring an outdoor lifestyle, making new friendships, and giving back to our community, one rising angler at a time.
What's Happening
Kids Fishing Club Details
Beginning in July 2022, Hammock Bait & Tackle will be hosting our 2nd fishing club for kids between the ages of 6 years old and 13 years old. The club will meet once a month for six months, ending with a fishing tournament between the kids in the club for prizes.
Participation in the club is FREE, but we do ask that kids who sign up commit to the full six months. We only have seats available for 20 kids but those who don't make the first club group can sign up for the next group starting in Spring 2023. Again, if your child is unable to commit to the full six months, please understand we want to keep seats open for kids who can participate consistently.
Topics being covered over the six month duration are:
Tackle basics, baiting hooks, casting (rod and net), different bait, landing fish, regulations, fish identification, and sea life conservation.
Each club meeting will consist of dedicated time for fun learning as a group, followed by actual fishing across the street at Bings Landing to put into practice what you learned at the meeting.
To sign your child up, we are asking for folks to come into the store in person so we can sign up your child/children and provide information packets.
Our first club meeting will be held on Saturday July 9, 2022, so all sign ups for the first group will end on Saturday June 25, 2022. The club meetings will be held on the 2nd Saturday of each month at the Hammock Bait & Tackle store, located at 5861 N Oceanshore Blvd. Palm Coast, FL 32137
